Why Does Games Arena Collect Data From Its Apps and Games?

When you install and use Games Arena: Battle Royale Games mobile applications, we can collect and process some of your data for different legitimate purposes. Below are the reasons why we may collect data and the legal bases we rely on in each case.

  • To provide you with the services you asked for (e.g., knowing that you completed the first level to allow access to the second one). Legal basis — such data processing is strictly necessary for the service(s) asked.
  • To run analytics and understand how users interact with our product and services to continuously improve it (e.g. identifying that a feature is annoying for users or that a level is too difficult for most gamers). Legal basis — express consent, given via the pop-up notice included in our apps.
  • To serve advertising tailored to the preference and interests of our users, allowing us to continue providing free services and products. Legal basis — express consent, given via the pop-up notice included in our apps.

For all data processing activities that rely on users' consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time from the "Settings" page in our various applications. Please note that if you withdraw or refuse consent, you will still be served advertising, but it may be less relevant to you as it will not be tailored to your interests.

What Data Do We Collect From Its Apps and Games?

For all the purposes listed above, the data that we collect is limited to:

  • The apps you are using

  • Technical information about the device you use and your connection (user agent, type of connection, timestamp)
  • Data about your activities on our applications, notably how and when you interact with our applications and with the advertising served within them (e.g., number of ads served, potential clicks)

This may happen through in-game dialog boxes, which you may choose to skip. If you sign in with Facebook Connect, we will collect information visible via your Facebook account, such as your name, Facebook ID, profile picture/URL, and list of Facebook friends. Your Account may be used to publicly identify you as part of social features of the Services, such as user-to-user interaction, chat or messaging, public leaderboards, head-to-head competition, and similar features. Your username will be public, but will only permit access to information that is designated as public in your profile settings.

Specific Provisions for EU Individuals

Accessing and Correcting Your Personal Information — You may contact us at any time (see "Contact Us" below) to request access to the personal data we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity first. If your account information is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, please let us know so we can correct it.

Withdrawing Your Consent — Contact us if you'd like to withdraw consent to the processing of your data. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before the withdrawal.

Erasing or Restricting Access to Your Information — You may request that we delete or restrict access to your personal data. We may decline or postpone this request if the data is currently needed to provide Services or for other legitimate purposes, and we will explain why.

Data Portability — You have the right to receive the personal data you've provided us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and to transmit it to another party where technically feasible, unless doing so would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.

Right to Complain — If you believe our processing of your data infringes data protection laws, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the EU member state of your residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration by third parties. While we make good faith efforts to maintain a secure environment, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as needed to provide Services, unless required by law to delete it sooner or you request deletion. We also retain and use data as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Our Policy Regarding Children

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from anyone under the age of 16, nor knowingly allow such persons to use our Services. If you are under 16, please do not send us any personal information, including your name, address, phone number, or e-mail address. If we learn we have collected personal data from a child under 16, we will delete it as quickly as possible. If you believe we might have information from or about a child under 16, please contact us.

Transfer of Personal Data Outside Your Country

We may transfer information we collect about you to affiliated entities or other third parties across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to others around the world. These jurisdictions may not have the same data protection laws as your own; we take steps to ensure adequate safeguards are in place for such transfers, including to the U.S., as described in this Policy.

Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your personal data when necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are party, such as providing the Services, or to respond to your inquiries. We also process personal data where required by law, to protect your interests or those of a third party, and for fraud prevention, improving our network and services, and marketing to advertisers and publishers, where these interests are not overridden by your data protection rights. Where there is no other lawful basis for processing, we will generally obtain your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Specific Provisions for California Consumers

These additional provisions apply only to individuals who reside in California. The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA") provides additional rights to know, delete, and opt out, and requires businesses to provide notice and a means to exercise those rights, including: categories of personal information collected in the preceding 12 months, the business purpose for collection, and the third parties with whom we may share your information.

Right to Know and Right to Delete — You can request to know what personal information we collected, disclosed, used, and sold, and request deletion at any time by emailing battleroyalegames2030@gmail.com with the subject line "California Rights Request." We will need to verify your identity before processing your request, and may decline in certain circumstances where we are unable to verify your identity. Upon verification, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information, unless retaining it is necessary to complete a transaction, detect security incidents or fraud, fix errors, exercise free speech or other legal rights, comply with legal obligations, or for other lawful internal uses.

Right to Opt Out of Sale — We do not sell your personal information and require our service providers not to sell it either. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any CCPA rights.

If you are a California resident seeking to exercise your CCPA rights, or have questions, please email battleroyalegames2030@gmail.com. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with sufficient evidence of written permission and successful identity verification. We aim to respond within 45 days of receiving a request; if more time is needed, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to our data and information privacy practices. If we make material changes, we will notify you via a notice on the Services prior to the change becoming effective. We encourage you to periodically review this Policy for the latest information. If we need to adapt the policy to legal requirements, the new policy will become effective immediately or as required.
